MP flags issue of hike in pension for differently-abled, in Parliament

DAVANAGERE MP Dr Prabha Mallikarjun drew the attention of Parliament and urged the Central government to increase the monthly pension given to the beneficiaries under the Indira Gandhi National Pension Scheme for the differently-abled on Tuesday.
She said that at present the differently-abled are being given a pension of only Rs 300 per month. This is not enough to meet basic needs, so the central government should take action to increase the pension amount she demanded.
