DAKSHINA Kannada MP Capt Brijesh Chowta raised the issue of the merger of Konkan Railway and reorganization of Mangalore railway administration among other railway-related issues while speaking during the demand for grants from the Ministry of Railways, in Lok Sabha on Monday.
Addressing the Parliament, Chowta acknowledged the remarkable achievements of Indian Railways, including 90% electrification, the introduction of high-speed Vande Bharat trains and the redevelopment of over 1,300 stations. He also applauded the extension of the Kabaka Puttur Express to Subramanya Junction, which will greatly benefit pilgrims and daily commuters.
