Agri, horticulture, forestry students showcase their skills in marketing value-added products

THE three-day long fruit and food mela organised by Krishi Vignana Kendra of Keladi Shivappa Nayaka University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences (KSNUAHS) in the city paved the way to finetune the skills of producing value-added products of various horticulture crops, agriculture crops and even bee keeping, besides gave a platform to develop marketing skills for final year students of agriculture, horticulture and forestry students of different campuses of the varsity.

"It was an opportunity for our final year students of agriculture, horticulture and forestry students to showcase their skills and ideas after getting a three-month long hands-on training. About 10-12 stalls were provided to our students to exhibit their ideas to get a hands-on experience of marketing," said Prof Jagadish, Vice-chancellor.
