Sugarcane MSP will touch ₹4K/tn this year: Minister

AGRICULTURE and Farmers Welfare Minister MRK Panneerselvam assured the Assembly that the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for sugarcane would be fulfilled as per the DMK's poll promise, reaching ₹4,000 per tonne this year.
Responding to AIADMK legislator C Vijaya Baskar, who criticised the government for not implementing its promised MSP of ₹2,500 per quintal for paddy and ₹4,000 per tonne for sugarcane, the minister defended the government's efforts.
