The Simla Agreement, signed on July 2, 1972, between Indira Gandhi and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto has been a cornerstone of India-Pakistan relations.
It established the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir and set the foundation for resolving all issues between the two countries bilaterally, without third-party intervention.
