BJP MLC slams govt's decision to confer 'Nyaya Yodha' honours on Rahul Gandhi
FORMER minister and BJP MLC A H Vishwanath has accused Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of hijacking the Ahinda movement, an organisation representing minorities, Scheduled Castes, and backward classes, for political gain, and projecting himself as the messiah of backward communities.
Addressing media persons here on Thursday, Vishwanath claimed that Ahinda was originally founded by former minister R L Jalappa and advocate C S Dwarakanath. However, Siddaramaiah allegedly sidelined their contributions, replacing Jalappa's photo with his own.
The MLC praised former chief minister D Devaraj Urs as a true leader of backward classes and accused Siddaramaiah of taking credit for several initiatives launched by others in the past.
