As speculation continues over a potential change in leadership, former minister and JDS MLA A Manju said Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar risks missing his only chance to become the Chief Minister if he doesn't act now.
Manju said Shivakumar may not get another opportunity in the future and claimed that Vokkaliga community voters supported the Congress in the Old Mysuru region with the expectation that Shivakumar would be made Chief Minister. He pointed out that the Congress gained 30 to 40 seats in this region due to this support, and now many feel betrayed.
