MYSURU-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar criticised former prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru for incorporating 'socialist' in the Preamble of the Constitution and said it has in many ways limited Bharat its economic capabilities.

Speaking during the CII Mysuru Zone annual meeting 2024-25 and MSME Summit 2025 on 'Strategic Growth for a Sustainable Future - Accelerating Mysuru' organised by Confederation of Indian Industry at a private hotel here on Saturday, Yaduveer said during the drafting of the Constitution, if we keenly study the economic agenda or outlook of the country, Dr BR Ambedkar, who was not just a social reformer but also a foremost economist, understood that there should not be any rigid framework while considering India's outlook.
