Trump Throws Shade at Mamdani After Cuomo Shock

THE US president Donald Trump lashed out at Zohran Mamdani after the democratic socialist's surprise trouncing of former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo in last night's Democratic primary in the city's mayoral race.

"It's finally happened, the Democrats have crossed the line," Trump wrote in a social media post, bashing Mamdani, as "a 100% Communist Lunatic." "We've had Radical Lefties before, but this is getting a little ridiculous," he went on adding: "He looks terrible, his voice is grating, he's not very smart."
National Republicans have been pointing to Mamdani's far-left positions like city-run grocery stores as a further sign that the Democratic Party is out of touch with Americans.
