State To Have 43 Automated Driving Centres Soon: Reddy

New system will replace outdated manual inspection to issue DL
TRANSPORT Minister B Ramalinga Reddy said 43 automated driving centres and 11 automated testing stations will be established in the state this year which will reduce corruption and minimise the involvement of middlemen in RTO services.
Speaking to media persons at the RTO office in Mangaluru on Wednesday, Reddy said the state already has seven automated driving centres and it will be increased to 43 by this year-end and the number of such facility will be the highest in any state of the country. The new system will replace the outdated manual inspection to issue driving license (DL) as the candidates driving efficiency will be judged using censors.
