'Phule' maker told to remove caste references

IN light of the concerns expressed by various Brahmin associations about the portrayal of their community in 'Phule', a biopic on social reformers Jyotiba Phule and his wife Savitribai, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has asked the director, Ananth Mahadevan, to remove several references to caste in the film.

3 IPS officers suspended in R G Kar rape-murder case
