WOMEN India Movement's Udupi district committee has strongly condemned the Centre and state governments for imposing an unbearable financial burden on the people by hiking the prices of the essentials.

Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, Women India Movement district president Nazia Nasrulla slammed the BJP-led Union government for hiking LPG cylinder prices, while the Congress-led Karnataka government for raising prices of electricity, milk, water, and public transport. "These actions are like rubbing salt into the wounds of the common man," she said.
