AMID devotion and grandeur, 'Akki Muhurtha' was held at Sri Shiroor Mutt, Udupi, on Thursday. With this, preparation for the biennial Paryaya of Udupi in January 2026 reached another milestone. 'Akki Muhurtha' is the second of the four key rituals that are performed by the seer prior to ascending the Paryaya Peetha, scheduled for January 18, 2026.
The 'Bale Muhurtha' was performed on December 6, 2024. Kattige Muhurtha and Bhattha Muhurtha will be performed in the days to come.
