Jisna died by suicide at her husband's house in Balussery; family says she was victim of physical and mental torture
DESPITE the Women's Commission and other organisations spreading awareness about the increase in suicides among married women, another suicide was reported in Balussery in Kozhikode district within 14 days.
Jisna C P, 24, died by suicide at her husband's house in Balussery on Tuesday evening. Her family alleges domestic violence to be the reason for her death. Kannur native Jisna had married Balussery native Sreejith three years ago and the couple has a two-year-old boy.
