Kozhikode Introduces AR-Powered Thematic Tourism Trail Map

In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the Kozhikode District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) has launched an Augmented Reality (AR) Interactive Thematic Tourism Trail Map, offering tourists a smart and immersive way to explore the district.
The project was officially released by Tourism Minister Mohamed Riyas at a function held at the Kozhikode Guest House.
The new AR-enabled map is designed to serve as a smart travel assistant that guides visitors through Kozhikode's diverse attractions with ease and precision. The map groups destinations into 10 thematic trails, each represented by a unique colour code. This system allows travellers to personalize their journey based on their interests, whether they seek nature, heritage, adventure, or cuisine.
