CM has not barred me from state meetings: Sreemathi

Says she is still part of leadership, will attend meetings if in Kerala

SENIOR CPM leader and central committee (CC) member P K Sreemathi has dismissed news reports that she has been barred from attending the party's state secretariat meetings.

Addressing mediapersons in Kannur on Sunday, Sreemathi said she continues to be part of the leadership and will attend meetings whenever she is in the state.

"If I am in Kerala when the secretariat meets, I will participate. I have not been conveyed any restrictions on taking part in state leadership meetings. This is misinformation aimed at creating confusion within the party," she told reporters.

Sreemathi was responding to reports that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has instructed her not to participate in secretariat meetings.
