Tariff impact: Retail, mfg verticals worst hit for IT cos

FOR IT services companies, verticals such as retail, manufacturing and logistics will be worst hit due to US tariffs.

Nearly 13.3% of Infosys' revenue comes from its retail segment, which saw -2.6% year-on-year de-growth in CC terms for the quarter ended March 2025. For Wipro, BFSI de-growth was 0.5% sequentially and healthcare degrowth at 3.1%.

Consumer degrowth was at 1.3% sequentially, technology & communication de-growth at 0.9% QoQ and energy, manufacturing and resources grew 1.1% sequentially and saw degrowth of 7% YoY.

The country's largest IT services firm Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) saw delays in discretionary projects, especially in the US.
