IN A bid to reduce human-wildlife conflict in Mankulam, forest officials have completed repair and maintenance work on solar fencing along forest-border areas near human settlements.

The solar fences, which had been either non-functional or partially damaged, have now been restored. Officials hope this will significantly curb the entry of wild animals, especially elephants, into inhabited areas.
