Rain fury: Water level rising in Kuttanad

RELENTLESS rainfall over the past few days has led to a sharp rise in water levels across the Kuttanad region, causing widespread flooding in low-lying areas on Thursday.
Increased water flow from the eastern highlands contributed to the worsening flood situation.
Floodwaters have entered numerous homes in the Kuttanad, Mavelikkara, and Karthikapally taluks. In response, the district administration has opened relief camps and relocated affected residents.
