KSU Protest to Govt Nursing College Turns Violent

A protest led by KSU, the student wing of Congress, and backed by Youth Congress workers turned violent on Tuesday as they tried to enter the Government Nursing College in Pathanamthitta, demanding the Indian Nursing Council (INC) recognition and improved infrastructure for the institution.
In the agitation proceeding for the second time in three weeks, the protesters highlighted poor hostel facilities, inadequate bus services, and administrative neglect as major grievances.
Notably, the agitation was also directed against Health Minister Veena George, the MLA from the Aranmula constituency, whom they held responsible for the ongoing crisis with just months to go for the local body elections and the assembly polls next year.
