I-Day parade: Pathanamthitta district headquarters, fire force teams emerge best marching contingents

IN the 79th Independence Day celebrations held at the Catholicate College grounds, the Pathanamthitta District Headquarters platoon, led by R Sanal, bagged the first place for best marching in the armed forces category, while the Fire Force team, led by station officer K S Sandeep, secured the top spot in the non-armed category.
In the armed forces category, the second place went to the team led by excise inspector Mithun. In the non-armed category, the section forest officer O A Shyamkumar-led team took the second spot. In the NCC category, Pathanamthitta 14 Bn emerged winners.
