14 KC(M) councillors sent letter demanding his resignation before UDF moving the motion
WITH only hours remaining before the no-confidence motion against Pala municipal chairman Shaju V Thuruthan, moved by the Opposition UDF, is scheduled for discussion on Friday, the LDF councillors in the municipality were making all-out efforts to persuade Thuruthan to step down.
As per an agreement within the KC(M), Thuruthan was required to step down and make way for another KC (M) member Thomas Peter by January 31.
Despite this, Thuruthan is refusing to comply. On Thursday, all 14 KC(M) councillors sent a formal letter demanding his resignation before UDF moving no-confidence motion.
