Uproar after ASI detects leakage from main dome of Taj Mahal

WATER is seeping through the central dome of the Taj Mahal in Agra, according to a thermal scan by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
The dome is currently encased in scaffolding, allowing the ASI to continue its inspections. The repair works will last six months and cost around ₹76 lakh. The monument may briefly close to the public, sources added.
