Arrival of monsoon has worsened the situation with rainwater flooding into the rooms

- EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE @Kollam

THE GOVERNMENT Veterinary Hospital in Anchal has become a nightmare for both staff and the public, with its crumbling structure now on the brink of collapse. A senior official confirmed that the deteriorating condition is disrupting routine services and putting lives at risk. The wooden roof has completely caved in, while cracked walls, broken doors, and damaged beams have made the building dangerously unstable. With the arrival of the monsoon, the situation has worsened—rainwater frequently floods the rooms, severely hampering daily operations.

"Under these hostile conditions, it's becoming nearly impossible to perform our duties," an official said.
