Cashew workers being robbed of their rights

KODIKUNNIL Suresh MP on Friday alleged that both the Centre and state governments have adopted measures that strip cashew workers of their rights and allowances won through decades of protests. He also demanded a timely increase in their bonus.
He was speaking after inaugurating a protest meeting held in front of the Cashew Development Corporation head office, marking the conclusion of the Cashew Workers' Congress vehicle march. The MP urged the government to withdraw the single pension scheme that replaced the PF pension, welfare pension, widow and differently-abled pension, and cattle farmer pension introduced
