The Judicial First Class Magistrate Court in Kannur has issued a summons to Youth Congress leader Rijil Makutty for his controversial remark during a televised debate. The summons was issued based on a complaint filed by K Sreejesh, the district karyavahak (functionary) of the Kannur RSS unit.
