WEDDING BELLS rang in an unusual place in Kannur on Saturday—the Cooperative Hospital, Thalassery! The event came to be after an accident foiled Thacharakkal Basheer's plan to celebrate his daughter's wedding in an elaborate manner.
Basheer, a Thalassery resident, was hospitalized following a serious accident on December 3. He was hit by a car while traveling with his wife and child on a scooter. Though his wife and child escaped with minor injuries, Basheer suffered a broken femur and required extensive medical care.
