According to the statistics from the Excise Department, between April and December last year, the department collected Rs 26,633 crore against the revenue target of Rs 38.525 crore for 2024-2025, which is 69.13% of the target.

In the financial year 2023-2024, the department had collected Rs 24,455 crore as against the revenue target of Rs 34,500 crore, which was 73.78% of the target.
