Gulbarga University Still Awaits Regular VC Despite Months-Long Delay

Post fell vacant after Prof Dayanand Agasar retired on January 22 this year

Even though the neighboring Adikavi Maharshi Valmiki University Raichur, Akkamahadevi Women University, Vijayapur and Karnataka University, Dharwad got new Vice-Chancellors around a month back, Gulbarga University is not lucky enough to get a regular vice-chancellor till date.

The post of Regular Vice-Chancellor fell vacant after Prof Dayanand Agasar retired from the post of Vice-Chancellor on January 22 this year. Prof Gooru Sriramalu became the in-charge Vice-Chancellor for a few months and after his retirement Prof Huvinabhavi Babanna has become in-charge Vice-Chancellor and it is learnt that his term of deanship would also end in a month and he has to demit the office of in-charge VC after his term of deanship ends.
