CUK VC Wants Revival of Indian Knowledge System

"LACK of values, morality, and ethics in our education system is leading to more number of suicide cases in our society," said Vice-chancellor of Central University of Karnataka Battu Satyanarayana here on Tuesday.
Inaugurating a one-day seminar on 'The Relevance of Indian Knowledge System (IKS) in the Present Academia' organised by CUK in association with Bharatiya Shikshana Mandal (BSM), New Delhi, Satyanarayan said that the Indian Knowledge System teaches us how to overcome the problem by understanding human essence and coming out of stress. It is the time to revisit IKS and address the ecological, social, familial issues in the present scenario, as IKS is mainly about human concern, he said.
