Congress Has Neglected North K'taka in State Budget: B Y Vijayendra

THE BJP has accused the Congress-led state government of neglecting North Karnataka in the state budget while also opposing the 4 per cent reservation for minorities in government contracts.

BJP has announced plans to stage protests both inside and outside the Assembly against these issues.

Speaking to the media at Sambra Airport in Belagavi on Sunday, the BJP state president B Y Vijayendra criticised the Congress government for allegedly discriminating against North Karnataka in budget allocations. He warned that the party would strongly oppose this perceived injustice.

Addressing the reservation issue, Vijayendra condemned Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's decision to introduce a 4 per cent reservation for minorities in government contracts, calling it unconstitutional and divisive. He claimed this move would create rifts between religious communities and announced that BJP would protest against it in both legislative houses and public platforms.
