RENOVATION work has commenced on the concrete section of Almatti Dam across the Krishna River to reduce water leakage.
RENOVATION work has commenced on the concrete section of Almatti Dam across the Krishna River to reduce water leakage. The resurfacing is being carried out by applying a special chemical mixture as part of the Dam Rehabilitation and Improvement Project (DRIP-2) initiated by the Central Water Commission. The World Bank has extended financial assistance of Rs 28 crore for the project.
