441.99-crore BCC budget aims to enhance urban infra & beautify public spaces

THE Belagavi City Corporation (BCC) has presented a budget of Rs 441.99 crore for the financial year 2025-26, focusing on the overall development of the city while ensuring the welfare of all sections of society.

The budget aims to enhance urban infrastructure, beautify public spaces, and introduce citizen-friendly initiatives.

A major part of the budget is dedicated to improving city roads, traffic circles, and bus stops under the "Smart City Project". Steps will be taken to manage traffic congestion by converting vacant spaces into parking zones and marketplaces.

To increase revenue, the corporation plans to integrate advanced information technology in governance and implement citizen-centric programmes.
