Villagers lock Boudh school seeking action against headmaster

VILLAGERS including parents of students locked the gate of Tukulunda UP school in Harabhanga block of Boudh district on Monday alleging lack of action against the headmaster who reportedly doled out corporal punishment to two Class III girls last month.
With the school locked, the teachers were forced to take classes of students under trees outside the campus. The agitators said they were forced to protest as the administration failed to take any action against the school headmaster though more than a fortnight has passed since the Class III students were made to do sit-ups as punishment.
