Revanth announces ₹1 crore ex gratia for families of Sigachi blast victims

CHIEF Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday announced ₹1 crore ex gratia to the families of each of the deceased in the Sigachi Chemical Industry mishap at Pashamylaram Industrial Area.
Those with serious injuries will receive ₹10 lakh each, while ₹5 lakh will be extended to those with partial injuries. As immediate relief, ₹1 lakh will be given to the bereaved families and ₹50,000 to the injured.
Revanth, accompanied by ministers C Damodar Rajanasimha, D Sridhar Babu, Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy and G Vivek Venkatswamy, visited the accident site and reviewed rescue operations. He directed officials to submit a detailed report and stressed the importance of periodic inspections in chemical industries to prevent such disasters.
Calling the mishap one of the worst industrial accidents in the Telugu states, the chief minister said: "Officials must identify those responsible and take strict action. Coordination between departments is essential to ensure proper medical care and relief."
