A mysterious parcel from Australia addressed to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, currently lodged in the Sabarmati Central Jail, has sparked an in-depth probe by Indian security agencies.
Officials at the Foreign Post Office in Gujarat, which manages international shipments to and from the state, intercepted the package.
The unexpected delivery has now become the focus of an intensive investigation.
According to various media reports, a woman identified as Vandana Gaur with an Australian address is the alleged sender. However, preliminary inquiries quickly revealed the identity and address to be faked, raising red flags.
