Man gets 20 years of jail term for raping minor

A 38-year-old man has been sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment and imposed Rs 5 lakh fine by a local court for raping and impregnating a minor girl in Shirahatti of Gadag district.
Additional and Sessions Court Judge Justice Rajeshwari Shetty on Friday pronounced the verdict, convicting Siddappa Magadi of Shirahatti. Siddappa Magadi had raped a minor girl (mentally ill) when he used to go for cattle grazing.
