Man Gets 20 Years in Jail for Abducting, Raping Minor Girl

KOPPAL Additional District and Sessions Judge and Judge of the Fast Track Court (POCSO) Kumar D K has sentenced a man to 20 years in prison along with a fine in the abduction and rape case involving a minor girl belonging to a Scheduled Caste.
The accused Hanumanth Kumbar of Paramanahatti in Kushtagi taluk had told the girl that he loved her and would marry her. The victim had rejected the accused's proposal saying that she was still young. However, he raped her several times from May 10, 2023, promising to marry her.
