Accused involved in over 50 cases in four states; police launch manhunt to nab other members of his gang
POLICE in Dharwad opened fire at an interstate dacoit who was trying to escape after a failed robbery bid on the outskirts of the city on Saturday morning. The police shot at his legs.
Two policemen, including a police sub-inspector, were injured in the incident and are being treated at KIMS Hospital in Hubballi. The accused is an interstate criminal who is involved in more than 50 criminal activities. The police are searching for his gang.
