THE Indian Army's deep and quick strike capabilities are set to rise, with two additional regiments of Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launchers getting operationalised in the coming months.

- MAYANK SINGH @New Delhi

The Army is also expected to receive the equipment for two more Pinaka units by the end of this year. As of now, six of the MBRL systems are already operational along the northern border with China and the western border with Pakistan.

The way things are proceeding this year, the number of these regiments will touch eight and reach 10 in 2026.

A battery of six launchers of Pinaka can fire a salvo of 72 rockets in 44 seconds and neutralise enemy assets in an area of 1000m by 800m.
