Two relatives returning after temple tour drown in PAP canal

A 34-year-old youth and his 32-year-old sister-in-law drowned in the Parambikulam Aliyar Project (PAP) canal near Dhali in Tiruppur district on Sunday evening.
The unfortunate incident happened when the families of two brothers returned after visiting the temple in the foothills of Thirumurthy hills near Udumalaipet in Tiruppur district.
The deceased were K Karthik Kumar and V Kowsalya of Mannur in Pollachi in Coimbatore district. Both drowned allegedly during an attempt to save a child in the group who was dragged by the current.
