FOLLOWING the inauguration of a special library at the ESI Hospital in Coimbatore, the directorate of public libraries has requested spaces to set up libraries at major gathering locations such as the Coimbatore District Collector's Office and Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH).
In an effort to inculcate reading habits among the public, the Tamil Nadu government is setting up special libraries at public places. On June 10, Chief Minister MK Stalin inaugurated 70 special libraries across the state, including one at the Government Medical College and the ESI Hospital for Coimbatore.
