Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on its 100th anniversary, calling its journey "very proud and glorious" and describing it as the "world's biggest NGO".

He addressed the nation from the Red Fort on the 79th Independence Day, saying that the country is built not only by governments or those in power but also by millions of citizens, including saints, seers, scientists, teachers, farmers, soldiers, and labourers.
