Illegal poppy cultivation at 2 Haryana campuses

A day after 140 opium plants were found on the university campus in Rohtak, authorities in Haryana discovered approximately 400 poppy plants cultivated alongside flowers at a private university campus in Rai, Sonepat.
Following this discovery, the university's gardener was arrested.
The gardener, Sant Lal, a resident of Sultanpur district in Uttar Pradesh, was apprehended on Friday at the World University of Design in Rajiv Gandhi Education City, Rai.
