Conservationists Flag Lack of Action Over Felling of Trees at Chinnavedampatti Lake

VOLUNTEERS working for waterbody conservation in Coimbatore pointed out that no action was taken against persons who excavated and smuggled gravel from Chinnavedampatti Lake, despite complaints.
They said that several trees which were grown by volunteers as part of rejuvenating the water-body were chopped off by a government contractor of the Western Bypass road works.
