25-Year-Old Pregnant Wild Elephant Dies of Worm Infestation in Nilgiris

LIVER infection and intestinal worms likely claimed the life of a 25-year-old pregnant wild elephant in the Nilgiris forest division, suggests a postmortem performed on Saturday evening.
The animal was found dead in the Kottada estate at the Kil Kotagiri forest range, 200 metres from the reserve forest, on Saturday by tribal people.
