Over 27k street vendors to get IDs to run biz

OVER 27,000 street vendors will receive identity cards to run their businesses across the eight zones of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike.
At a meeting at the BBMP head office on Monday, Chief Commissioner Tushar Girinath said, "The survey of street vendors is being conducted using mobile application, and so far, about 27,655 street vendors have been identified zone-wise. Identity cards and certificates will be distributed and vendors instructed to conduct their business only in designated areas."
