Gujarat’s Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Pradyuman Vaja has said in the Assembly that a specialised civic unit set up under the director of the SC Welfare Department to monitor atrocities against the community is understaffed, with 58 out of the 76 sanctioned posts being filled.
Vaja said the civic unit has three sanctioned posts at the level of joint director (vigilance), but now two of them are vacant. Also, all five sanctioned posts for social welfare office
