Wine shop owner held for assault over price dispute

In a shocking case of violence, a wine shop owner in Belagavi district allegedly launched a murderous assault on two youths who questioned him for charging more than the fixed retail price of liquor.
The incident, which occurred on the evening of August 24 at Janata Wines near Kulgod village in Mudalagi taluk, came to light after CCTV footage of the attack went viral on social media.
The accused, Abhishek Parushetti, a resident of Kulgod, attacked the two victims- Sanjay Bhosale and Santosh Angadi, both from Kulgod with sticks.
The CCTV footage shows the victims being brutally beaten inside the premises, leaving bystanders horrified.
