Srisailam dam gates closed as flood inflows decline

SRISAILAM dam officials closed all radial gates on Tuesday and stopped water outflows after a decline in flood inflows.
They had opened the gates for the first time this season on July 8, with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurating the release. Officials confirmed that while gate releases have ceased, outflows for power generation and lift irrigation projects continue.
